Accenture’s Level Up program gives CUNY and Prairie View A&M students the tools and opportunities to build careers in the world of innovation and technology.
Level Up will provide students with an environment to develop fundamental professional skills in technology and innovation while fostering the ability to build lasting relationships and career opportunities.
In partnership with Microsoft, the program will work to increase the representation of technology professionals from historically underrepresented communities.
If selected for Level Up, you will have the opportunity to complete a skill building course this spring in preparation for an eight-week paid opportunity over the summer. Upon successful completion, you’ll have the chance to return as a summer intern the following year.

From your first day, you will be part of an immersive program that will empower you through hands-on experience, meaningful projects, mentorship, and networking with industry experts. The New York City Council’s Data Team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Intern to support our efforts in managing, processing, and automating the flow of data to improve efficiency and transparency within the Council. As a member of our team, you will work on impactful projects that involve organizing, summarizing, and automating data processes, using advanced tools and techniques in data manipulation, automation, and natural language processing (NLP).

Some experience with a strong desire to learn pipeline engineering for natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs) (e.g., Llama, DeepSeek, Falcon, Mistral), including prompt engineering, and optimization techniques.
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to document and present data-driven insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with automation or scripting to improve workflows preferred.
Exposure to automation of large language models (LLMs) or similar technologies for data processing and summarization.
Experience and/or desire to work with public sector data & government is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Learn and interact with curated datasets hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Effectively blend and clean the data to get to the right insight based on the requirements
Support data validation and functional testing
Create an accurate report or insight observation/finding that meets the stakeholders’ needs and helps achieve business outcomes
Collaborate closely with Product Owner and Tech Lead that will hand off projects, set priorities and inspect the output of the final analysis

The Role
