At this orientation, we’ll dive into who we are and how CUNY2X is here to elevate the academic and professional experiences of students in the CST department. You’ll discover:

Internship Opportunities

Industry Trek Hosted by Bloomberg

The Jobs CEO Council and Bloomberg is hosting Industry Trek. An event for students to meet some big employers and hear directly from recruiters how to apply for internships. Want to nework? CUNYS Alumni will be there to.

LifeSci NYC Internship Program Info Session

The LifeSci NYC Internship Program offers the chance to complete a single application link to gain access to paid internship and job opportunities at dozens of NYC life science companies and organizations. The program is open to all currently enrolled NYC students, as well as recent graduates (spring 2023 or later). Students from all majors are eligible, as a wide range of science, tech and business roles are offered. Our upcoming Virtual Info Session especially for City Tech students will explain the application process, describe the breadth of roles available, provide tips on creating a strong application, and include an opportunity for Q&A.

CUNY Tech Prep

CUNY Tech Prep’s application for the 2025-2026 cohort is now open! You can apply here.

CUNY Tech Prep (CTP)  is a year long technical and professional development program for CUNY computer science and related majors to learn in-demand technologies, master professional soft skills, and land great tech jobs in NYC.

CTP staff will be on campus at City Tech on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1 PM to host an Info Session & Technical Resume Workshop for City Tech students. 

🔹 Need a resume to apply for tech roles? 

Join CUNY Tech Prep for a Technical Resume Workshop to learn what to include in a technical resume and how to stand out when applying for internships and full-time roles. 

🔹 What is CUNY Tech Prep? 

CTP is a FREE yearlong program that includes: 

✔ A Full-Stack Web Development or Data Science sprint

✔ Project-based coursework 

✔ Career coaching

✔ Access to tech industry connections and roles 

💡 Bonus for City Tech students: Participants may be eligible to earn 3 academic credits toward graduation while completing the program!

when you apply for technical internships and full-time roles.

CUNY Career Launch👷

As an intern with Career Launch, you can:

Gain valuable work experience at companies or organizations in your career field,

Work in one of NYC’s cornerstone industries,

Meet students from all over CUNY with similar interests as you,

And earn money, of course! Interns make $20 per hour and work 19 hours per week during July – August.

With a CUNY Career Launch internship you are paid to pursue your future career and learn on the job! Internships are designed for CUNY undergrads who have had no prior paid internship experience.
