Join the Tech Talent Pipeline Residency Summer Cohort
Are you a late sophomore, junior, or senior graduating fall 2026 or later? Don’t miss out on the Tech Talent Pipeline Residency! This ✨free 10-week bootcamp✨, offered by CUNY2X right here at City Tech, is designed to help you level up your skills. You’ll learn new technologies, build real-world projects, and gain valuable experience to help you land your first tech role. Apply now and take the next step in your tech journey!
What is the Tech Talent Pipeline Residency?
This residency program is designed to connect talented students like you with leading tech companies in our area. You’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience with a paid internship, enhance your technical skills with additional training, and build a professional network that will set you up for success.
Why Should You Apply?
You personally (not your parents) earn less than $50k annually
You are at least 18 years old
You have NOT participated in CUNY Tech Prep or a previous TTP Residency program
You are eligible to work in the US
Have taken or currently taking CST 2309, and any of CST 3513, CST 3606, or CST 3650
Graduating Fall 2026 or later
What you will Gain
Real-World Experience: Work on meaningful projects that make a difference.
Mentorship: Receive hands-on guidance from industry professionals who are eager to share their expertise.
Career Growth: Increase your employability with skills and experience that are in high demand.
Who Can Apply?
We are looking for motivated students from the Computer Systems Technology department who are passionate about technology and eager to learn. Whether you’re interested in software development, data analysis, UX/UI design, or any other tech-related field, we want to hear from you!

Technical Bootcamp Dates: June 9th 2025 - August 15th 2025
Interviews will be on a rolling basis. We only have 40 spots. Get your applications in before the spots are filled!

We’re excited to share a fantastic opportunity: IBM is partnering with CUNY to host an in-person Student Hackathon on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at their beautiful new office at One Madison Avenue, New York, NY. Whether you're deep into tech or just tech-adjacent, this is a great chance to connect with IBM professionals, build real-world AI solutions, and boost your resume with industry-recognized credentials.

What: IBM SkillsBuild CUNY Student Hackathon
When: Friday, May 9, 2025 | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

💡 What to Expect:
Teamwork: Join a team of 2–4 students (faculty are welcome to join as well!)
Mentorship: Work alongside an assigned IBM mentor
Challenge: Build an AI-driven solution to real-world business problems using watsonx.ai, watsonx Orchestrate, and watsonx Discovery
Preparation: Get early access to IBM SkillsBuild resources starting April 18th. Participants are required to complete the modules made available through the event dashboard.
Networking: Meet IBM engineers, execs, and fellow students
Prizes: The winning team gets to visit the IBM Innovation Studio!
👩🏫 Faculty Involvement:
Faculty are encouraged to attend, join teams, and support students
IBM is seeking 3–5 faculty judges to help select the winning team
This event is part of a growing partnership between IBM and CUNY, coordinated by Central CIS and newly shared with CIOs – so we recommend registering as soon as possible before seats fill up!

AI/ML in Medical & Engineering Sciences
Dr. Yunlong Wang an AI Scientist Director in Advanced Analytics at IQVIA, will share powerful insights into how deep learning is driving innovation across fields—from healthcare to engineering.
Workshop Highlights:
Predicting Alzheimer's Disease progression using LSTM-based deep neural networks
Using non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) for patient/beam subtyping and model interpretability
