CUNY2X Orientation

The Career Foundation Series is making its return in 2025, and we are thrilled to continue supporting you on your journey to building a successful career. This year’s series will feature a variety of workshops designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market. From networking strategies to mastering technical tools, our sessions aim to cover essential topics that will help you stand out.

We’re also excited to announce the addition of a brand-new workshop focusing on the basics of GitHub. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to gain foundational knowledge of this essential platform for version control and collaboration in software development.

Google Software Engineer Program (G-SWEP)

✨What is G-SWEP?

G-SWEP is a free, 10-week immersive program designed exclusively for Computer Science students. It provides the essential skills and career readiness needed to thrive in the tech industry. This transformative program has already helped 155 students secure internships and full-time roles at leading companies such as Accenture, Apple, Bloomberg, NASA, and Oracle.

📅 Key Details:

Application Period: January 13th – January 27th(Its the last day to apply)

Eligibility: Open to Computer Science students, with a focus on first-generation and BIPOC students. Even if you’re unsure whether you’re a fit, we encourage you to apply!

LifeSci NYC Internship Program Info Session

The LifeSci NYC Internship Program offers the chance to complete a single application link to gain access to paid internship and job opportunities at dozens of NYC life science companies and organizations. The program is open to all currently enrolled NYC students, as well as recent graduates (spring 2023 or later). Students from all majors are eligible, as a wide range of science, tech and business roles are offered. Our upcoming Virtual Info Session especially for City Tech students will explain the application process, describe the breadth of roles available, provide tips on creating a strong application, and include an opportunity for Q&A.

CUNY Tech Prep

The CUNY Tech Prep Cohort is taking applications for the 2025-2026 year.

CUNY Tech Prep is a year long technical and professional development program for CUNY computer science and related majors to learn in-demand technologies, master professional soft skills, and land great tech jobs in NYC

CUNY Career Launch👷

As an intern with Career Launch, you can:

  • Gain valuable work experience at companies or organizations in your career field,

  • Work in one of NYC’s cornerstone industries,

  • Meet students from all over CUNY with similar interests as you,

  • And earn money, of course! Interns make $20 per hour and work 19 hours per week during July – August.

With a CUNY Career Launch internship you are paid to pursue your future career and learn on the job! Internships are designed for CUNY undergrads who have had no prior paid internship experience.

🎵Spotify🎵

Spotify is looking for enthusiastic students with a passion for music and an ambition to go far. This isn't just any internship! Our paid internship program will give you the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it's like to be a Spotify employee as well as get the opportunity to see the technology side of a fast growing company! Our summer internships will last for approximately 10 weeks this summer and start in the beginning of June.

CUNY2X has an advisement cohort for all students in the CST Department. We have 2 advisors in the office each with their own speciality.
